Come and hear the Sacconi Quartet perform with their special guest artists: Charles Owen (piano), Chi-chi Nwanoku (double bass), Jon Boden (vocals), John Paul Ekins (piano), the Marmen Quartet and the Royal College of Music Chamber Orchestra!
Programme includes Dvořák’s String Quintet in G major, the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio in A minor, Britten’s Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, Bach ‘s Piano Concerto in D minor, the dynamic Mendelssohn Octet and Beethoven’s epic String Quartet in C sharp minor, Op. 131.
Plus this year’s late-night concert is a performance of ‘The Juliet Letters’, a unique and compelling ‘Shakespearean song-cycle’ for string quartet and singer written by Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet in 1993.
