Keep it Local Craft Fair at Coolings

Over 50 craft stalls to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere of a beautiful white marquee in the grounds of one of the loveliest gardens centres in the UK.
Following the stunning craft fairs held for the last two years at Coolings Garden Centre in Knockholt, the “Keep it Local” crafters are back for four days over Easter, with new ranges and old favourites. The free-entry fair runs from 10am until 4.30pm.

These events are part of a series of Keep It Local craft events being held at Coolings Garden Centre on Rushmore Hill in Knockholt. The stallholders are all genuine crafts people with handmade local products from Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Crafts and gifts such as glass clocks and bespoke silver jewellery, handmade soap and original paintings, biscuit kits, woodturned and slate objects, leather bound notebooks and handmade cards and much more! Organised by Anne Marriner of Abercoombe Silver, who makes hallmarked silver jewellery, the events give visitors access to quality, individual gifts and treats for all the family.

Anne said: “At our last fair, there was such a buzz and not a little surprise that such lovely items are within touching distance of us all. With transport costs so high at the moment, both from a money and environmental point of view, it is fitting that we should plan a series of events showcasing superb, high quality products from a selection of inspirational cottage industries right here in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The energy, enterprise, commitment and enthusiasm of the craftspeople is plain to see. Good craftsmanship and design abound in this little corner of England – there’s no need for you to travel miles for that very special gift, or indeed, for that very special gift to travel miles to you!”

The fair will be in the marquee behind Arthurs restaurant at Coolings Garden Centre, Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, TN14 7NN. Opening times: Friday 18th April – Monday 21st April 2014 10am to 4.30pm. Follow the watering can signs from the main entrance.
